I work with leaders in engineering and technology driven organizations who are building cultures where people can thrive. Environments where capability, contribution and innovation are not only possible, but expected.
After decades leading complex engineering organizations across civil aerospace, defence, energy and industrial sectors, I have seen one truth stand out. When capability is strong — in people, process, tools and data — everything else can follow. Delivery accelerates. Innovation emerges. Strategic options expand. Resilience is built through clarity and intent, not bolted on as an afterthought.
I have operated in some of the most highly regulated and high pressure environments where success depends not on theory, but on lived experience, curiosity and systems thinking. That is why I resist one size fits all approaches. My support is independent, tailored and grounded in real leadership insight, not generic frameworks.
Today, I run a portfolio of work that includes business advisory, engineering capability development, leadership mentoring, startup support and pro bono service to institutions that matter deeply to me. I serve as a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, chair its Awards Committee, advise university and industry boards, and support charitable and national causes through non executive roles.
At the core of everything I do is a commitment to independence of thought, integrity of action and a belief that innovation begins with capability. I help leaders operate at their best and build organizations where others can do the same.
Outside of work, I am a proud husband of 34 years, father to two brilliant adult children and an enthusiastic amateur cook who may have collected one or two too many BBQs. When not walking my two cockapoos or reading, you will often find me behind the decks mixing electronic and house music. Strictly for fun, not fame.
